The Tu-160 (NATO classification: Blackjack) is a Russian, formerly Soviet supersonic strategic bomber-missile carrier with a variable sweep of the wing. Developed in the Tupolev Design Bureau in the 1980s, in service since 1987. The Russian Air Force currently has 16 Tu-160 aircraft.
